Milkyway Delivery is available on Shopify App Store now. It’s a free app and you can install the app directly from Shopify App Store by typing "Milkyway Delivery" or on this page: https://apps.shopify.com/milkyway-delivery
You can request delivery service on "Request Delivery" page to experience the super-fast Milkyway Delivery service. If you already have Shopify store, then you can request delivery services through Milkyway Delivery Shopify app.
You can follow these steps to request delivery through Milkyway delivery app :
1. Open Shopify Orders page.
2. Choose the Order you want to fulfill through Milkyway Delivery app.
3. Click on the three dots (•••) on top right corner of the page to choose Milkyway Delivery app.
4. A small pop up window appears in the center of your screen to choose the pickup location, local delivery date and time.
5. Next click in “Ready for delivery” button to send request through the app. Our Milkyway software finds the closest driver to the pickup location and shares the request information. The driver will be at pickup location in as fast as 15 minutes. You and your customer (optional) will receive tracking link via text message as soon as the delivery request is submitted. You will receive text updates and the photo proof of the spot when package is successfully delivered.
6. On Milkyway Delivery Orders page click on “Fulfilled” button to mark the order as fulfilled on the Shopify Orders page as well.
Absolutely! You can leave any instructions for the driver by adding it to Notes section on the Shopify Order page. Simply click on the “pencil” icon and type any instructions in the Notes box and save it. Just make sure to leave notes before requesting local delivery through Milkyway Delivery app.
You can also leave customer phone number in the “Notes” section for the driver to contact the customer when arrived at drop-off location. If you already requested delivery through the app, and forgot to mention instructions or customer provided instructions later on, please email us at [email protected] and our customer support team will update the driver about the instructions.
Milkyway Delivery Shopify app is Free and no hidden fees or surcharges. Only fee is the delivery fee of $8.99 per delivery.
You will receive tracking link through text message as soon as the delivery request is submitted. Your customers can opt in to receive a tracking link via text message by leaving their phone number on the Checkout page.
The fixed fee is $8.99 per delivery service. If you requested any delivery services from Monday to Sunday, then you will receive an invoice to pay for successful delivery services in the beginning of following week. In the invoice you’ll find the total fee amount and the payment methods.
Rest assured, the drivers will safely deliver every order to customers by following instructions and take photo of the drop-off spot. In case something goes “south” we cover each package up to $1,000 for small fee o $1.99 per service. The coverage amount depends on the Subscription plan you are enrolled in.
The Package(s), together, per trip
1. may not be greater than 30 pounds
2. must fit comfortably in the trunk of a mid-size motor vehicle
3. may not have a total value greater than $2,000 to qualify for our Protection Policy.
Before sending it you must prepare and securely close and seal the Package(s) for safe delivery.
